ArcelorMittal Roman buys 7.7m euros' worth of raw material

ArcelorMittal Tubular Products Roman, a manufacturer of steel pipes, controlled by the ArcelorMittal group, purchased raw material worth 7.7 million euros from ArcelorMittal Hunedoara, a member of the same group. The buy-sell contracts were closed on February 13 and February 21, with payments to be made within 45 days. The pipe manufacturer changed its name last year, from Mittal Steel Roman, to ArcelorMittal Tubular Products Roman, following the takeover by Mittal Steel, the largest steel manufacturer worldwide, of the European group Arcelor, the second largest steel manufacturer. ArcelorMittal Tubular Products Roman has a capital worth 36.1 million RON, divided into 14.4 million shares with a nominal value of 2.5 RON. The ArcelorMittal group controls 69.77% of the company's shares, with SIF Moldova controlling 14.08%. The plant in Hunedoara has a capital of 147.4 million RON, divided into 58.9 million shares, with a nominal value of 2.5 RON. A 78.74% stake is held by the ArcelorMittal group, SIF Banat-Crisana holds 10.04%, and the State Assets Resolution Authority - 9.15%.
