Angela Cretu (photo), 33, general manager of cosmetics company Avon Romania, has been appointed as head of the cosmetics producer in South-Eastern Europe and will coordinate the company's operations in eight countries. In her new role, Cretu will control operations in Romania, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Albania, Moldova, Croatia, Slovenia and Bosnia & Herzegovina. These regions generated business worth over one billion euros in 2006. Angela Cretu thus joins the 17 Romanians already employed in middle and top management positions at Avon branches throughout the world, after one of the latest expat missions involved a Romanian manager who went to India. Angela Cretu took over the position of general manager for South-Eastern Europe from Hristo Manov, who was in turn promoted as general manager for the region of Russia.
