AMEP could buy Pol-Am-Pack bonds

11.04.2006, 00:00 16

AMEP American Packaging, the metallic packaging manufacturer based in Tecuci, will consider acquiring a bond package worth 3.5 million euros issued by Pol-Am-Pack. Both companies are held by the American group Can Pack. The other option is to place the money in a bank deposit. The par value of one bond issued by Pol-Am-Pack is 10,000 euros, with the maximum amount that AMEP is to pay for the bond package standing at 3.5 million euros, due the agreement reached during the General Shareholders'' Meeting, published in the Official Gazette. The bonds will be nonconvertible and will mature five years from their date of their issue. They will be issued with a 4.55% per year interest rate, which will be paid every year from the issuance date. AMEP American Packaging also takes into account the possibility to place the sum in a bank if a 3.50-million euro deposit were to be set up, with a fixed rate of interest to be paid annually. ZF
