Aliz Kosza, one of the best-known women in the Romanian topmanagement, who runs Fabryo, a paint and varnish business of 35meuros in 2009, says 2010 seemed to her the most challenging year inher 27 year career.

"2010 was the most difficult year in my career, and I am notspeaking of how hard it was for us to sell, but of the generalcontext where one had to be performing. (...)", Aliz Kosza, thegeneral executive manager of Fabryo Corporation, owned by Sweden'sOresa Ventures investment fund, told ZF.
Kosza, 50, has filled top management positions in companies ofvarious industries over the years.
"I've always looked at my own yard, because if I looked at themacroeconomic level, I would close down", explains Kosza, addingthat though "hope" is a word that should not exist in a manager'svocabulary, she hoped decline would end in 2011, creating a premisefor growth for 2012.
Kosza, who came at the helm of Fabryo on January 1, 2008, says sheexpects fourth-quarter turnover to be below the level of the lastthree months of 2009, after in the first nine months of 2010turnover was flat from last year, at around 35m euros.
