Alcoa Fujikura invests 1.7m euros

Alcoa Fujikura, a manufacturer of electrical wiring for use in the automotive industry will invest some 1.7 million euros this year in order to boost the production capacity of its two facilities in Nadab (Arad) and Caransebes (Caras-Severin). "The automotive component market is constantly rising, so that we decided to buy more production lines for the two factories. The 2005 investments are 40% higher than those last year," Kuss Gunter, the company''s general manager told ZF Transilvania. The company posted more than 7 million euros in turnover in the first half, with its officials estimating that if the sales pace maintains, Alcoa Fujikura SRL will post more than 15 million euros in turnover, up approximately 16% from 2004. "The investments in the last few years that were made in boosting the production capacity led to a positive trend of the financial indicators," Kuss Gunter added. Alcoa Fujikura in 2004 achieved an almost 50% growth of all the financial indicators. "It was a better year because the fluctuation of the exchange rate was not that serious," the head of the company explained. The entire output of the two factories of the company is exported mainly to Volkswagen, Audi, Skoda or Fiat. ZF
