Air France KLM head: Corporate contracts are like a safety belt

Alexandru Dobrescu, general manager of Air France KLM airline,which operates daily Bucharest-Paris and Amsterdam flights,maintains that 35% of the company's revenues come from contractssigned with several hundred companies, with these being like asafety belt during the economic downturn.

Domestically, the company sells over 80% of plane ticketsthrough travel agencies, which also handle the contracts withcorporate clients, according to the company's official.

"Last year, Air France KLM posted 6% growth on the Romanianmarket. In the first two months of this year, aircraft operated atrising load factors on Bucharest-Amsterdam and Bucharest-Parisroutes," stated Dobrescu. He specified KLM in January operated at aload factor of 81.8% (up 16% from January 2010) and in February at80.1% (23% higher).

"The load factor increase was generated by a reboundingbusiness, leisure, ethnic and religious traffic (...)," Dobrescusaid.
