Aerotravel business plan tops 23m euros

Aerotravel Lufthansa City Center travel agency, one of the top five players on the local market, has budgeted a 20% increase in turnover for this year to 23.5 million euros, stated Antonio Nitu, general manager of the company. The agency specialises in business travel, but during the last two years has decided to also target the holiday sector with its offer, which is why it introduced charter flights last year. According to Nitu, 5 million euros of the company''s total business in 2006 will be derived from the holiday services package. This will be based on the charter flights that Aerotravel will operate this summer. "We will push hard to develop as a tour operator. There is a genuine opportunity to grow on this market. The local market is expanding," stated Antonio Nitu. He says cities outside the capital will be an important source of clients for this sector, where the market has not developed to its full potential. The market of travel agencies witnessed an average 20% growth in 2005. ZF
