ABN AMRO to work with Raiffeisen-Banca Agricola

Raiffeisen-Banca Agricola (RBA) through its 200 subsidiaries across the country will offer cash transfer services to the clients of ABN AMRO Romania, following an agreement signed between the two banks.

ABN AMRO clients will thus be able to deposit cash, cheques and promissory notes at all RBA subsidiaries and their funds will subsequently be transferred to the ABN accounts.

ABN clients through this agreement will benefit from fast services of funds transfer, whose flexibility and swiftness are guaranteed. The contract was signed by Eugen Radulescu, RBA chairman, Robert Rekkers, ABN AMRO Romania president and Marinel Burduja, ABN AMRO Romania deputy president.

"The sound relation between the two institutions is proof that both companies are interested in assessing the opportunities in Romania. The strategies of both companies have exceeded all expectations.

This new way of thinking is a positive signal in the banking environment," Robert Rekkers, ABN AMRO Romania president, stated.

Eugen Radulescu, RBA chairman said, "I consider that this collaboration is a beginning for improving the standards of services offered to clients by the banks operating in Romania, which confirms the level of openness and professionalism in the banking community."

ABN AMRO Romania currently provides corporate banking services and has subsidiaries in 12 Romanian cities. The bank through its network of subsidiaries throughout the world provides its Romanian corporate clients with integrated banking services, both commercial and investment banking products.
