A&D Pharma, the company operating pharmaceuticals distributor Mediplus and the Sensiblu chain of drugstores, could reach a market value of 1 billion euros within 3 to 5 years. "The capitalisation of A&D Pharma reached around 500 million euros on Thursday (last week, i.e.). I believe we could achieve one billion euros in three to five years, but you never know," said Dragos Dinu (photo), CEO of A&D Pharma. The group's shares have been trading since last autumn on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange, as Global Depositary Receipts. The latest transactions with A&D Pharma stock closed at 14.75 euros for one GDR, which puts the company's market value at 491.67 million euros. The group is also looking into a listing on the Bucharest Stock Exchange, which could be completed by the end of this year or early 2008. The only companies with Romanian-based core operations that are listed in London are A&D Pharma and the Vimetco group, registered in Switzerland, which owns in Romania aluminium producer Alro Slatina and alumina company Alum Tulcea. Investment banks Morgan Stanley (US) and UBS (Switzerland) have recently been mandated to manage the floatation of telecom group RCS&RDS on the London Stock Exchange, also through GDR.
