Ceramic products manufacturer Apulum Alba-Iulia estimates an over 10 million-euro turnover for this year, which represents a stagnation of the financial indicators compared with 2006, when the company recorded a similar turnover. "The main growth drivers of the market, in our field, were the increasingly high orders for hotel and restaurant networks, as well as the rise in orders for export, after our countryes accession to the European Union. However, as was the case last year, the domestic market is seeing a continuous decline due to the reduction in the populationes purchasing power on the household porcelain sector," Ioan Voican, general manager of the company, told ZF. The company management intends to invest about 500,000 euros in improving product quality this year, with the range of products available including household porcelain, hotel porcelain articles and other decorative articles.
