Andronescus' hospital to open in a few weeks
The third large private hospital of Bucharest, Sanador, will deliver the first consultations in early February, when the official opening is also scheduled.
The launch of Sanador hospital comes three years after MedLife's
opening of Life Memorial Hospital, the latest benchmark on the
market, and five years after Euroclinic (now controlled by Centrul
Medical Unirea) appeared as a private wing of Floreasca
Hospital.
While in other cities of the country other entrepreneurs already
have operational hospitals, in Bucharest the opening of Sanador is
the first intention materialising, though several investors have
announced similar projects.
"The hospital is ready for any type of intervention, but currently
the most in-demand services are obstetrics-gynaecology ones.
(...)," said Florin Andronescu, Sanador business developer.
In the first operational year, the hospital is likely to generate
5m-euro revenues and the occupancy rate would stand at 30%. Thus,
the company's total turnover is likely to go up to 15-16m euros,
from 11m euros last year.
