More than half of old three-room apartments of Bucharest have prices ranging between 50,000 and 70,000 euros at the beginning of 2011, 10-20% lower than at the start of last year, when in most areas owners started "talks" from a level of at least 70,000 euros, according to anuntul.ro website data.

ZF in early 2010 put on the map of Bucharest ten ads with apartments for sale in the biggest districts, such as Berceni, Militari, Colentina and Titan, and in early 2011 sought properties with similar characteristics to see the trend of prices and the new benchmarks from which owners start sale negotiations.
Steeper declines, of over 20%, were registered in areas such as Rahova, Militari Colentina and Doamna Ghica, while smaller price cuts were operated in areas such as Camil Ressu or Dristor.

In other words, except for the central areas and the north area, three-room apartments can be found almost across Bucharest at prices of between 50,000 and 70,000 euros, which can be financed through the First Home scheme.
Under the circumstances, three-room apartments are likely to become more attractive, as the price and monthly instalment gap against a two-room apartment has narrowed down.
