Nicolae Duşu, Celco: Together with TTS I hope to revamp Socep
The main shareholder of Socep Constanţa harbour operator says he will work with TTS group, after the two investors fought on the Bucharest Stock Exchange to seize control over the company.
Businessman Nicolae Duşu, who, together with Ion Duşu controls
ACC producer Celco Constanţa, including 43% in Socep Constanţa
stock, says Transport Trade Services (TTS) group, held by Mircea
Mihăilescu, becoming a shareholder of the harbour operator will
benefit the company.
Socep, controlling 5% of freight traffic in Constanţa Harbour, has
been the target of one of the roughest battles on the Stock
Exchange in recent months, doubling its price on this market since
the beginning of the year.
"From the talks I've so far had with TTS representatives, I believe
their becoming a Socep shareholder is a gain for the company. They
have new ideas they want to put into practice and I believe that
together we will be able to do more and revamp Socep," Nicolae Duşu
says.
