Chicken processor, most dynamic company in Muntenia
ZF and private equity firm Enterprise Investors, which has
invested nearly 200 million euros in Romania in companies such as
Profi and Smartree, on Thursday night rewarded the most dynamic
companies in the Muntenia region, with chicken processor Euroavi in
Călăraşi at no. 1, with the company seeing its two-year turnover
grow 667.4%.
"Dynamism will be the main feature of an economy in the future and
investors need to look for companies with operations that create
new industries," said Anne Habiby, cofounder of All World Network
at the event. The main challenge is how to make young people start
new businesses," she added.
Jacek Siwicki, chairman and member of the Board of Directors of
Enterprise Investors, said the main feature of an entrepreneur is
patience. He added that Enterprise Investors did not have any other
current plans of investing in Romania, after the 3 million-euro
investment in March in Smartree, a HR outsourcing firm.
Also attending the event was Lucian Croitoru, advisor of the
governor of the NBR (National Bank of Romania), who said that in
2011 economic growth would fluctuate around 0 and that signals on
the market showed the economy would see a slow recovery, if growth
were resumed.
