Former footballer Gică Popescu, 43, who has invested together
with two partners 10 million euros in a bazaar-type shopping centre
close to Rahova market, has persuaded Jolidon underwear maker, as
well as Polisano, which operates Reţeta drugstore chain, to come to
Doldora bazaar, where rent for a 6.3 square-metre stand is 190
euros. "Nearly 90% of the bazaar has been rented out. At the end of
October tenants will come to set up their stands in the Doldora
bazaar," said Marius Valentin Roateş, one of the three shareholders
of Doldora Capital, which develops the bazaar. Gică Popescu
controls 25% in Doldora Capital, while Marius Valentin Roateş and
George Şaguna each hold 37.5%. Doldora Bazaar, located on the plot
that used to accommodate Fabryo Corporation paint plant, is being
developed on an overall area of 12,000 square metres, based on the
model of low-priced shopping centres IDM, Sir and Dragonul
Roşu.
