Four phones running Windows Phone 7 set to reach Romanian market over coming months
LG Optimus 7, HTC 7 Mozart, HTC HD7 and Samsung Omnia are the
four mobile phone models equipped with Microsoft's new Windows
Mobile 7 operating system, which will be launched in Romania over
the next few months. The LG model will in fact be the first one to
be made available by Vodafone, "most likely after October 21st,"
according to Ionuţ Gaotă, mobile communication business development
manager of Microsoft Romania, while the remaining models will be
part of the Orange offer at first.
The five smartphones running Windows Phone 7 announced at the
beginning of this week by Steve Ballmer, CEO of Microsoft, at the
launch of the operating system in the US, more specifically HTC 7
Trophy, HTC 7 Surround, Dell Venue Pro, Samsung Focus, and LG
Quantum, are most likely to be launched on the Romanian market
starting next year.
"The phones will be available in the offer of Vodafone, Orange, and
Cosmote operators, with each of them to sell at least one of the
models over the coming months. The phones will also be available in
GSM retail chain Internity and in online store eMAG in November,"
said Gaotă immediately after presenting the operating system on the
LG terminal.
