E.ON Regenerabile Romania, based in Iaşi and held by German utility group E.ON, has three wind farms under development, with an overall installed capacity of over 100 MW, whose completion would require 180-200 million euros in investments if the company decides to use new equipment.

According to data from Transelectrica (the national power transmission company), all three farms are located in Vaslui, Moldova. In fact, even the website of E.ON Regenerabile Romania specifies that the company focuses on capitalising on Moldova's potential to generate wind power.
E.ON did not wish to comment on the information by the time this issue was ready for print.
According to Transelectrica data, at the beginning of August, the German company had secured the permits to connect to the grid for three wind farms, with a capacity of 30, 46, and 36 MW respectively, all three farms being located in Vaslui areas. The 30-MW farm is set to be located in the Fălciu-Berezeni communes area, the 46-MW one in Roşieşti, and the 36-MW one in Vetrişoara.
