Gameloft, a publisher and developer of console and mobile phone games, is hiring 250 people for the Bucharest and Cluj centres on positions such as testers, programmers, but also technicians and artists.

"We started recruiting in March. We are also seeking people with experience in 3D production," Paul Friciu, general manager of Gameloft Romania, told ZF.

He added the company mainly seeks automation and electronics faculty graduates, but also mathematics or arts graduates. The latter are recruited for the design part of games.

According to Friciu, 50 people have been hired so far and another 200 are sought in Bucharest. The company, which made 227,112-euro gross income in Romania last year, amid 6.37m-euro turnover, is in full expansion in Romania.

In August, Gameloft opened a new office in Cluj, now employing 14 persons. According to Friciu, the company wants to hire another 50 people in this city.

"For the time being, we do not plan to open another office in the country. For Romania, it's all right as it is for now, with two offices," Friciu stated.

As for salaries, these can range between 250 euros and 2,000 euros depending on position and experience.
