Furnică ends partnership with Korn/Ferry

Starting this month, Radu Furnică, chairman of Leadership Development Solutions (LDS), a major top executive recruitment firm domestically, has ended collaboration with Korn/Ferry International, the world's biggest executive search firm.

"After 15 years of representing the Korn/Ferry name in Romania, our development directions are diverging. Korn/Ferry has adopted a new business strategy, through the creation of so-called hubs in Budapest, Vienna and Zurich, from which they will serve their clients of Europe," says Furnică.
He also said that only 8% of his company's revenues were generated by Korn/Ferry.
The representatives of Korn/Ferry, with 80 offices in over 40 countries at present, say, though, they have not given up the Romanian market and will recruit further, but operations will be coordinated from Hungary.
"We still believe in the potential of the Romanian market, and the decision to coordinate Romanian operations from the Budapest office represents a development strategy that has not overlapped that of Radu Furnică, who is a professional, but with an entrepreneurial vision," says Juerg-Herbert Baertschi, media officer for the EMEA region with Korn/Ferry.
