Raiffeisen Centrobank, the parent company of domestic brokerage Raiffeisen Capital & Investment (RCI), is very close to listing on the Bourse nine securities with the aid of which investors will be able to bet on the upward and downward trend of several categories of commodities and of the main foreign indices. The management of the Bucharest Stock Exchange announced it has already admitted to trading nine individual issues of structured products, which are certificates having as an underlying asset the ROTX, EuroSTOXX50, S&P500, DAX indices, as well as gold and Brent crude oil. "We believe there will be interest in these certificates, as clients get used to this class of securities. For instance, Raiffeisen Centrobank alone has over 1,500 issued certificates. There have been investors wanting to trade these securities, but a hurdle was the fact that they were not listed on the domestic market (and implicitly they were not RON denominated), and domestic brokers haven't promoted them too much, either. They were little known," says Camelia Păduraru, a representative of the sales and trading department of Raiffeisen Capital & Investment.
