German discount chain LIDL bought an 8,600 square-metre land
plot in central Focşani, where it will build an 1,800 square-metre
store on the former location of a bus terminal.
The seller of the plot is transportation operator Trans Company in
Focşani, controlled by businessman Vasile Epure, who holds shares
in Estinvest Focşani brokerage, according to data in the Official
Gazette and in the Official Registry.
The bus terminal was moved this April, after shareholders of the
transportation company decided at the end of 2009 to sell the plot
to LIDL.
The transaction can be put at 700,000 euros, with land in the area
costing 80-100 euros per square metre, according to a Focşani-based
real estate broker.
