Pharma drivers, car crash champions

The drivers of pharmaceutical companies are involved in approximately two car crashes per year and as such they are the main reason for losses incurred by the insurance companies and caused by the vehicles lease-purchased by companies, says Arnault Leglaye, general manager of operating leasing company Arval.

"Most accidents are caused by clients in the pharmaceutical industry: approximately two per vehicle every year. The employees do not usually care too much about the companies' vehicles. However, our clients keep requesting zero deductible. This is dangerous because it does not motivate them to be cautious. I don't understand why insurance companies continue to promote products without deductibles," Leglave says.
