Raul Ciurtin: I haven't set a deadline for Albalact sale

Raul Ciurtin, the chairman and shareholder of Albalact, the biggest independent producer in the dairy industry, has decided to talk for the first time about the acquisition bids he has received in the past year, about which he says that targeted "both a partial and a complete acquisition of the business". The company that Ciurtin drove from 2.5m-euro turnover ten years ago to over 50m euros in 2008, has been, starting last year, among the most intensely wooed businesses on a market worth above one billion euros, dominated by multinationals. Raul Ciurtin says that despite talks for the sale of a stake, there is no time pressure for the sale of Albalact, especially given the current difficult market conditions. This is why Ciurtin says he will take the time he needs to more closely examine the bids he receives in terms of what a sale brings against the company's growth perspectives. "(...) The real price of the company is not just a price I want to get. This is why I do not have a set deadline for this sale," explained Albalact shareholder.
