Popovici Nitu law firm merges with Corin Danescu's 10-litigator team
Lawyers of Popovici Nitu & Asociatii and Danescu &
Asociatii have merged, bringing the team of the firm founded by
Ernest Popovici fifteen years ago to 70 lawyers, comparable to that
of firms such as Musat & Asociatii and Tuca Zbarcea &
Asociatii.
Corin Danescu, 51, founder of Danescu & Asociatii, specialising
in litigations, will become senior partner of Popovici Nitu &
Asociatii, which will preserve its name.
The merger of the two firms will bring the litigation department of
Popovici Nitu & Asociatii to 20 lawyers, who will be
coordinated by Corin Danescu and Ciprian Dontu, with the latter
being recently promoted as partner of the firm.
"I've known Ernest Popovici since I graduated from college and I
can say we have things in common. Over time, we fought in opposing
teams in several litigations. But now circumstances worked in
favour of a merger," said Corin Danescu, the newly appointed senior
partner of Popovici Nitu & Asociatii.
The merger of the two firms comes ten years after another similar
move, the integration of the law firm specialising in litigations
of Ana Diculescu-Sova into the firm founded by Ion and Manuela
Nistor, which led to the creation of NNDKP.
Popovici Nitu collected seven million euros in revenues last year,
and targets a 10-15% increase in business this year. Danescu &
Asociatii posted over 2 million euros in revenues last year.
