How the 10bn euros allocated by Government for investments will be spent

Public administration, transport, public works and agricultural infrastructure are the economic sectors that received the highest fund allocations for investment purposes in the 2009 state budget, Finance Minister Gheorghe Pogea, told ZF. Funds allocated for investments in the 2009 budget amount to 10.24 billion euros and account for 20% of the state budget (56.1 billion euros) and 7% of the GDP (144.7 billion euros), Pogea says. The public administration ministry will receive 3.2 billion euros for investments in 2009, the transport ministry will get 1.96 billion euros, while 1.5 billion euros will go to public works and housing (the Ministry of Development). A little over 1 billion euros will be allocated for agricultural infrastructure in 2009, according to the draft budget, which was still under debate yesterday, in what could be the last day of joint debate by the two Chambers of Parliament.
