Argillon expects 14m-euro sales in 2008

Argillon Romania, a part of the German group by the same name, a producer of medium and high-voltage porcelain insulators, announced it had posted a 6.4 million-euro turnover in the first half of the year, which means a 25% rise for financial indicators against the same time last year. "We managed to reduce the reject rate and improve our company's productivity via retooling, so we saw a sales increase in the first half of the year compared with the same time last year. During the summer months, especially in July and August, our company's production is lower than in the rest of the year, but we tend to record our biggest increases towards the yearend," said Sorin Nutiu, general manager of Argillon Romania. By the end of this year, Argillon Romania representatives expect to derive a 14 million-euro turnover.
