Maserati, 2.6m-euro turnover in 8 months

Autoitalia Group, the importer of Maserati on the local market, sold 23 cars on behalf of the Italian manufacturer in the first seven months of the year, to which another two will be added and will be delivered this month. "Maserati?s turnover in Romania will exceed 2.6m euros at the end of this month, which corresponds to the 25 cars sold," said Mike Costache, country manager of Maserati. He forecasts 35 cars worth over 3.5m euros will be sold by the end of the year. In 2007, Maserati sold 22 units on the local market, with a cumulated value of over 1.6m euros. This year?s target stood at 40 units, but was reduced to 35 due to the high global demand and amid the plant?s failure to allocate enough cars for the local market.
