Furniture manufacturer Lemet, one of the leading players on the furniture market, posted turnover worth 10 million euros in the first half of the year, up 25% against the same time last year, amid the opening of new stores and the large volume of furniture sold. "June, July and August saw the launch of 14 Lem stores. Out of the 14 newly-opened stores, 7 were relocations," said Adrian Rizea, commercial and marketing manager. Like other companies in the industry, Campina-based Lem is facing higher labour costs, as well as price increases for utilities. However, the company operated a single price increase, at the end of January. "The increase in the sales price did not have a major contribution to our turnover, with just a few products having 4-5% higher prices," added Adrian Rizea.
