Omnicom Media Group consolidates with two new divisions

Omnicom Media Group (OMG), the media division of the Omnicom Group, has opened the Media Digital and Fuse divisions on the Romanian market after it relaunched the most important OMG brand earlier this year - the OMD Romania agency. "We work in small steps; we relaunched OMD, we brought new people onboard, and now the agency structure is complete. We launched two new brands: Media Digital, which specialises in interactive services, and Fuse, an agency that specialises in branded content. We will also launch PHD, which has a different, futuristic approach compared with OMD," says Carmen Tanasie, chief executive of OMG. She added she still could not provide any more details about the clients or the importance the new divisions will have for OMG's business on the Romanian market, or reveal a date for PHG's launch, which is a strategic decision. Lau nched as Media Plan in 2000, but renamed OMD in 2003, the company ranked tenth among media agencies and has a business worth approximately 11.7 million euros, which last year stood at 17.1 million euros.
