Hilton's operating income tops 10m euros

Bucharest's five-star hotel Ath?n?e Palace Hilton, held by businessman George Copos, posted an operating income worth 14.3 million dollars (over 10 million euros) last year, with revenues worth 30 million dollars (around 22 million euros). The operating income saw an 18.4% increase on the food & beverage segment (which includes events) and a 21.6% increase on the accommodation segment. "The hotel's revenues went up by 23% last year, when both the restaurant and events segment posted increases that were beyond expectations," said Friedrich W. Niemann, general manager of Ath?n?e Palace Hilton, located on Calea Victoriei in Bucharest. According to previous estimates made by company representatives, 56% of the hotel's turnover is derived from accommodation, around 38% from the food & beverages segment, and the rest from other services (i.e. t he sauna).
