Secuiana expands by 14-18 stores

Clothing manufacturer Secuiana in Targu Secuiesc, intends to expand its presence on the retail segment and open 14-18 stores throughout the country this year, following a three million-euro investment, and expand the network abroad in 2009, as a result of a decline in manufacturing under contract. Currently, Secuiana holds a 26-store network countrywide, as well as five franchisees in Bucharest and Arad. According to the general manager, the company is examining the possibility of expanding onto the foreign market, in 2009. The manufacturer forecasts a 13% turnover increase, to 8.5 million euros, from 7.6 million euros last year. The gross profit amounted to 450,000 euros in 2007, and for this year, the company targets a 22% increase, to 550,000 euros.
