Extenso, held by Romanian and Italian investors, the importer on the domestic market of the Lotto, Italgreen, Myrtha Pools, Stonefly and Gas brands expects turnover derived from construction of Olympic swimming pools to double to 8 million euros. "Whereas in 2007 we saw a four million euro turnover, this year we will double it considering demand is high and we will focus on new projects," says Mirela Rosca, general manager of Extenso. Building swimming pools generates 12% of the total turnover of the company, which stood at 30 million euros last year. The company delivered three swimming pools to the municipalities of Oradea and Bacau and plans to see at least two more projects through until the end of the year. "We allocate a lot of resources because we see quite a significant development on this segment. Thi s year we will build at least two more projects the size of those in Oradea and Bacau," Rosca adds. The Olympic pool in Oradea is a greenfield investment, whose budget amounted to a little more than 2 million euros.
