The Grampet Group, which operates primarily in the railway sector, with business worth over 110 million euros, has evaluated its assets on the Romanian market at 225 million euros, with more than half of this value accounted for by rolling stock. The Grampet group, controlled by Gruia Stoica, a discreet businessman, is part of the largest private freight operator, Grup Feroviar Roman (GFR), which includes other companies such as Reva, Simeria, Turist Semenic and Rovit. Gruia Stoica also controls Remar Pascani. "Grup Feroviar Roman contributes around 75% of the group's business. I couldn't provide the company's exact value, but the total assets of the group alone amount to 225 million euros," said Stefan Garoseanu, deputy manager of the group. GFR has budgeted business worth 84-86 million euros for this year, after it posted turnover worth 60 million euros in the first nine months of the year. Outside Romania, the operator holds the Bulgaria Railway Company and Train Hungary. "The Bulgarian-based company will generate business worth 10-11 million euros this year, and next year, we expect our Hungarian-based company to match the same level as our Bulgarian company," said Garoseanu.
