Iveco dealer Protruck headed towards 100m-euro turnover

Protruck group of companies, dealer of commercial vehicles Iveco in Romania, estimates turnover worth over 100 million euros this year, up 53% against last year. "The Romanian market of commercial and industrial vehicles has been on the rise over the last few years, and this year saw a higher growth rate than last year's forecasts had anticipated. Apparently, it will be several years until the market of commercial vehicles becomes stable," said Carmen Stefan, marketing manager of Protruck International. According to Protruck representatives, the introduction of the first registration tax for used vehicles of up to 3.5 tonnes, led to a dramatic fall, but benefited sales of new vehicles. "Although currently the sector of international road transport of goods seems to be stagnating in Romania, predominantly in the wake of the EU accession, utility vehicles used on construction sites are selling well, as there is a high demand for transportation services on the economy's most dynamic sector, the constructions sector, particularly on the roads and bridges segment," added Carmen Stefan.
