A&D Pharma turnover rises to over 300m euros

Pharmaceutical company A&D Pharma, which includes the distributor Mediplus and the drugstore chain Sensiblu, posted net consolidated turnover worth 301.8 million euros in the first nine months of this year, up 32% against the same time last year. Mediplus (the distribution division) witnessed a 30% turnover increase in the first three quarters of 2006, to 256.5 million euros in the same period of 2007. A 39% higher increase, was registered by the retail division Sensiblu, and reached 87.4 million euros. However, in terms of second-quarter results, Mediplus saw sales worth 86.4 million euros in the July-September period, slightly down against April-June, while Sensiblu continued its upward trend and reported sales worth 31.2 million euros during this interval. Res ults recorded in the first nine months of the year are due to the sales and marketing team, Mediplus expanding its line of products, and the expansion of the logistic infrastructure, according to the company's report, published on the London Stock Exchange. Mediplus currently operates 12 warehouses and distributes 5,000 products to around 3,500 drugstores.
