The business of the electrical tool and equipment importer Ranexim has increased by 30% in the first nine months. This comes as a result of the floods and also of the increase in construction works in the areas surrounding the capital city. "We have recently signed a contract worth over one million RON for radioactive decontamination equipment with the National Defence Ministry that will be used by the Romanian troops in Iraq," says Gabriel Preda, the company''s sales manager. He added the real estate boom on the outskirts of Bucharest had also made a positive impact on Ranexim''s turnover, due to the increased demand for electrical tools for the construction sector. The company logged 16 million RON (4.42 million euro) turnover in the first three quarters, with profit standing at 2.8 million RON (774,000 euros). ZF
