Paralela 45 makes 4m euros from Chicco products

Paralela 45 Turism this year estimates a 15% growth in turnover, as it attained a contract to import Chicco children products. "Last year, national sales stood at 4 million euros, 25% more than in 2004. This growth is due to investments made in advertising, as well as to the expansion in this sector of the market, which we estimate at some 27-32% per year," stated Razvan Badita, manager of Chicco in Romania. According to him, the division he runs will have a 42% share of the market this year, with business of products for children estimated at some 10 million euros per year. Paralela 45 Turism intends to open another Chicco store by the end of this year, in Iasi, after the one was opened in Brasov in April. According to the officials of the company, investment in a single store amounts to some 80,000 euros, which includes rent and fitting the space, as well as the store''s merchandise stock. Chi cco products are sold both through its own network of stores, as well as by distribution to other store networks, drugstores and virtual stores. ZF
