Capital increase for Wirom Gas

Wirom Gas, one of Romania's main natural gas trading companies, has recently operated a 1m-euro capital increase as the company is set to enter the gas distribution sector soon, sources close to Wirom Gas told Ziarul Financiar. Before the increase, the company's capital amounted to 100 million ROL (2,500 euros). "The capital increase, by about one million euros, in the first stage, is necessary for the company to operate in the gas distribution sector, starting this year," the quoted sources said. The company is practically reshaping its portfolio, as the two powerful foreign stockholders of Wirom Gas (German oil company Wintershall and Russia's natural gas concern Gazprom) are expanding on the Romanian market.
