Insurance market closer to $1bn

The insurance market increased 41% in ROL in the first two months of the year; if the growth pace maintains close to this level all through the year the industry is likely to reach 33,000-34,000bn ROL or one billion dollars. "Judging by the revenues of the insured protection fund, the gross premiums collected by the insurance companies in the first two months of this year amounted to 7,000bn ROL, 41% more than in the same time last year, " said Mirela Antohi, Insurance Supervision Commissions' press officer.
