Falcon Electronics, one of the leading players on the Romanian car electronics market, posted $5 million (about 4 million euros) in turnover for the first nine months of this year. This is close to the total amount for 2003. "We want to attain 25% turnover growth this year," company officials say. Falcon Electronics is one of the most important operators on the Romanian market of electronic equipment for vehicles. At present the company's operations are divided into four main categories - car security systems, car sound systems, car video systems and radar detectors. It is the leading player in radar detectors, car security systems and car audio systems. Almost three quarters of imported cars sold in Romania every year come with security systems installed, according to some estimates. Fur thermore, nearly half of the cars produced by Daewoo and Dacia in Romania are equipped with various security systems, though mostly low-end cars. ZF
