Danes buy dairy plant in Campulung

Nordex Foods, the Danish producer of white cheese, has bought one of the plants of the local dairy producer Lactag SA in Campulung. Sources on the market estimated the value of the transaction at a few hundred thousand euros. The exact sum has not been revealed by either of the parties. "The transaction has been completed. Presently, the Campulung-based factory is undergoing renovation, while new equipment is being installed," stated the general manager of Nordex Foods Denmark, Keld Pedersen. Sources with the company stated that the acquisition was part of the company's strategy to consolidate its position in Eastern Europe. Nordex Foods Group is one of the leading Danish dairy exporters and has 195 employees. The company produces in Denmark and Austria, largely for export.
